Ironically, this was the longest voting period so far for any award, 27 minutes after they announced Non-Fiction Film. Could that mean that it was a heated debate, or just a bathroom break?
Very much deserved nonetheless

Everyone is quiet around here with these...no thoughts, cheers or outrage?
Waiting on the final results; interim reports can be misleading.

Also, I've only seen 3 of the 7 awardees so far, which makes reaction hard to come by.

Of these I've only seen Clouds of Sils Maria - which is, of course, the movie for which Stewart won Best Supporting Actress at the Cesars (the first American actress to get a competitive Cesar I think). The movie is intelligent though not great, and she is good - but both are too Pirandellian (simplified Pirandello, clearly) to be considered by the Academy. But it's at least an interesting choice.

I'd love a Rooney Mara citation in Best Actress here to shake things up.
