On the Academy's official site, Oscars.Org, where Academy members who died during the Oscar year are listed, neither Rivette nor de Oliviera are mentioned as they were not Academy members. Vigoda is listed, though, as are Jack Carter, Douglas Dick, Sally Forrest, Walter Grauman and John Guillermin, other once famous names that were missing from the telecast.

They have an extended version of the In Memoriam at the Oscar.com website. They did include Abe Vigoda, Jacques Rivette and Manoel de Oliviera in that one.

Wow, they included Holly Woodlawn. I would not have expected that.

Shame on them though for not including Jacques Rivette and Manoel de Oliviera.

Off the top of my head, Jacques Rivette and Manoel de Oliviera are the major misses.
