This year we are witnesses of one of the strongest best leading actress slates in Academy Awards history, in my opinion, if we sort of leave out Jennifer Lawrence. For me it's clear that Brie Larson is going to win, and that Charlotte Rampling hadn't a slight chance of prevailing even before her statement. We could also assume that her words were not accurately translated, if the interview was in French, but now, her new response doesn't add or damage any of significance to her status, intelligence, talent, or European background. I'd love to see her winning, but that's not going to happen. And she doesn't care about it, really. How could she? She's is definitely one of the greatest.

No. She's already taken back her comments, saying she was misquoted.

Charlotte Rampling - will her frankness cause a backlash against
WIll Charlotte Rampling's opinions on the 'white out' have any impact on her winning the Oscar for which some people saw as an outside chance?
