I can't see the Academy ever going for it, but I thought Julianne Moore's performance in Maps to the Stars was so much more interesting and daring than her Still Alice work, which, again, while deeply-felt and accomplished, wasn't anything truly extraordinary for me.

One of my favorite moments in Maps is when Havana (Moore) asks the actress who got the part that Havana wanted, who would be playing the younger version of her mother in the remake. The actress replies, "Anne. Anne Hathaway" and Havana is like, "How's THAT going to work?" I thought it was hilarious.
"The mantle of spinsterhood was definitely in her shoulders. She was twenty five and looked it."
