Well, obviously we had to have at least one mind-boggling category fraud campaign this year, and I can only hope enough people respond to Big Eyes the way I did that this Christoph Waltz supporting nonsense goes absolutely nowhere. This would be double torture -- a lousy performance that wouldn't have a prayer in the lead category making a potential run down-ballot because at this point there really is no rhyme or reason as to what can be passed off as a supporting performance.

Nice to see both Channing Tatum and Felicity Jones being campaigned in the top tier categories, even though I don't think either should be nominated (though in Jones's case, it's at least a smart move on the studio's part, as she seems far more likely to be nominated in the barren Best Actress field than the fiercely competitive Supporting Actress category.)
