Well, only three nominees. I thought "Travelin' Thru" should have won, or the un-nominated "A Love That Will Never Grow Old" from Brokeback Mountain.

Oh, yes, I forgot that was the same year. It was a surprise, but not a huge one. I seem to recall that the Original Song category was pretty weak that year.

"It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" winning was the first sign to me that the Academy had gone insane. They confirmed it beyond a doubt by the end of the night.

That’s what I was saying the whole evening in 2006, until they award Best Picture for Crash.
