A great underrated performance by Bisset. I ordered the dvd from Amazon after reading the reviews.

Thanks for reminding me -- most unpleasantly shocking acting snub this decade. At least some of the others (Douglas, Buscemi, Sarsgaard, Neeson, Bello) were prefigured by SAG or (Giamatti, Hackman/Thornton) victims of categories so overcrowded any number of contenders could have fallen. Quaid's omission was just plain jaw-dropping.

I know right? Yet they found room for Ed Harris' stupid performance in the godawful "The Hours" and I could have done without another nomination to get Chicago's tally to 13 -- even though Reilly was the best thing in it for me.

Both Quaid and Haysbert would have been wonderful choices. And I still can't believe Kidman beat Moore.

J'adore La Bisset. Aside from Steve Sandvoss' body, she was the best thing about Latter Days.
