Good Night and Good Luck. But Brokeback would have been my second choice. Munich is flawed, Capote is mediocre and Crash is shit.

My favorite of the year -- The New World -- wasn't even nominated for Best Picture.

Oh, and Q'Orianka Kilcher is hot.

Brokeback Mountain. But Good Night, and Good Luck is equally impressive. Two beautiful, relevant, and resonant films -- I give the grandeur of Brokeback the edge.

Munich's ideas seem conflicted, but there's no denying its ambition (both visually and politically) and stunning set-pieces.

I found Capote competent but dull, preferring last year's Infamous on every level.

And Crash is a totally offensive horror. Go figure.

Brokeback Mountain, with the interesting but flawed Munich a close second.

I'll admit, I cried at the end of Brokeback Mountain. And no, I'm not usually a weeper. Doomed hetero love stories never move me, but do anything sad with gays and I'm a blubbering mess.

Crash made me a bigot. In that I hated all the straight men who voted for it.

I think Crash has been unfairly blasted since it's win, but Brokeback Mountain was a beautifully rendered.

I think Munich had strong scenes, but was not among Spielberg's best -- and I've nominated him six times for best director since 1993.

Oh, sweetie, I did not forget. It was meant as a punishment.

Now, why would you want to cyberlynch a Mr Congeniality? Just for liking Miss Congeniality in Crash? Not fair!

...

Ok, please kindly disregard my  face. I'm still Mr Congeniality. :;):

And Penelope, I think you forgot Speed 2 has Miss Congeniality. So you should have known I can handle that. But if I were to choose a film that has Miss Congeniality and watch it on endless loop, it will be While You Were Sleeping.

The best film of last year: Brokeback Mountain.

Wow...I don't think anyone's every cyber-lynched a poster before...
He should be forced to watch Speed 2: Cruise Control on endless loop for the rest of his life.
