I haven't seen 'Sweeney Todd' but a nomination for 'American Gangster' absolutely could have happened and its exclusion was genuine good taste. The movie was sound and fury signifying vacuous nothing, a trailer in search of a motion picture climate more enabling of true awesomeness and less star-fucking.

The others don't even come close to the awfulness that is Sweeney Todd. I'm happy to help increase its vast lead here.
