I haven't seen any of the nominated actress' films, a first here, but I have seen SAG winner Queen Latifah's work. I think had Life Support been an indie instead if a cable film she would've been a serious threat here. She was phenomenal.

Paves the way for a surprise Cotillard win at the Oscars...
With a Southern accent...
"Don't you dare lie to me!" and...
"You threaten my congeniality, you threaten me!"

"You shouldn't be doing what you're doing. The truth is enough!"
"Are you and Perry?" ... "Please, Nelle."

Thank GOD. I breathed a humongous sigh of relief.

All of that being said, Marion Cotillard sure is cute.

It's a truly great performance and I am so thrilled that her work is being so widely acknowledged (especially over the mannequin lip-syncher).

This is the sort of remark usually directed man-to-man around here, but...I'd jump her bones in a minute. I can't believe someone I thought was so hot when I was 14 STILL has it, 40-odd years later.

Hugely deserved, and if she can win this populist-dependent prize, she's got to be the overwhelming favorite for the Oscar.

Lol. She tried to make a joke but no one laughed. She thanked 'the cool canadian crew. It was snowing a lot.'

i think she always comes off as being insincere...except on screen of course. And this is another one of those times i found her insincere...but maybe thats because she followed day lewis who as usual is quite the opposite.

Not only was she spectacular, that little "in character" thing was perfect.
