LOL. Be sure to vote for Lindsay Lohan. Winning will give her the acknowledgement she needs that her nightly partying is all it takes to succeed in Hollywood.

I think the polls are meant to be just that - popularity contests. I'm actually more concerned about the honorees on the right-hand side of the page. So, which ones of them are gonna make it eventually to the Oscars?

That page, Van, is a joke. There isn't a single high quality actress who's not a babe on the list. Dead Man's Chest which is one of the year's worst films is being voted the best by a legion of rabid fans. There is absolutely no point in looking at that poll or taking it for that matter.

I'm not sure what is their definition of 'breakthrough' but I think, to them, it does not mean the honorees have to be newcomers. Last year, they gave the same awards to Jake Gyllenhaal & Rachel McAdams. Gyllenhaal for Proof, Jarhead & Brokeback Mountain (his previous credits include Donnie Darko, Moonlight Mile & The Day After Tomorrow). McAdams for Red Eye & Wedding Crashers (her previous credits include The Hot Chick, Mean Girls & The Notebook).

This year, they're giving it to Luke obviously for Catch A Fire whereas they're giving it to Lohan for her participation in A Prairie Home Companion & Bobby.

Anyways, I think Whitaker & Luke (just like Gyllenhaal) might make it to the Oscars.

Luke is no newcomer, and Lohan has been a big star for years - are these really the people they deemed to need this the most?

Yeah, I agree.

I think out of these honorees, likely Oscar contenders would be Bobby, Cruz, Roth, Cars, Pirates, Cox, Santaolalla & Myhre.

As for Bullock, she should be in consideration as well. And I'm not saying this because I love her but based on the good reviews that she has been getting so far. The only thing I see that could prove to be a disadvantage for her is the voters' respect for Keener who had already been nominated for the same role.

I'm now waiting for them to announce the Leading & Supporting Actor honorees.
