Sorry, 2/18/56 is the correct date for the 1955 announcements. The 1957 and 1958 announcments were also made on the 18th of February albeit in successive years.

Is this date right, Magilla? I'm sure that 1956 is the right year, but since it matches exactly the date below, I want to make sure I have the right date.

Is there anything beyond that or were those the first?

Hey, I appreciate it. I don't suppose you also have the date and time of the announcement and too?

I'm doing some updates for my site and I was wondering if anyone is familiar with a resource for the Nomination announcements. Namely the press conferences that hand out the nominations and who were the persons presenting the nominations and which categories were presented. I have info back to about 1992 from my own tapes but I am not certain there is such a resource out there. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
