Re: Categories One-By-One: Supporting Actress

mojoe, if you want to look at a cameo role that is truly worthy of a nomination, do yourself a favor and watch Woody Allen's Another Woman and see how Sandy Dennis does it. And I think you are literally the only person on this board who found The Butler any kind of good. I will have to check that o...

Re: Categories One-By-One: Supporting Actress

Jane Fonda for The Butler? Yes sir. Here's my thing, if you can pull off an impressive performance in a cameo role then it should be in consideration. Jane is a seasoned professional who is quite amazing as an actress and pulls off an even more amazing Nancy Reagan, her time may be short in her act...

Re: Categories One-By-One: Supporting Actress

This year's Supporting Actress category is probably the weakest line-up in a long long time June Squibb- June was good, funny, and hit her comedy marks when needed, but I definitely wouldn't call it an Oscar worthy performance. At times it also seemed like she was reciting her lines via que-cards Sa...

Re: Categories One-by-One: Best Actress

My line-up for this year would have been Oprah Winfrey- The Butler Brie Larson- Short Term 12 Greta Gerwig- Frances Ha Vera Farmiga- The Conjuring Melissa McCarthy- The Heat Now with the actual line up My heart is to Judi Dench for Philomena, but I'm happy with any of them winning as long as it's no...

We all know that she was dead last on the ballots in each year.
What are you trying to say?

Re: I found a new site for Oscars =)

I've never seen it until today. I find some of the results baffling Sally Kellerman winning over Karen Black Margaret Avery winning over contenders like Meg Tilly and Amy Madigan just to name a few. Love that Jacki Weaver leads in not only 2010 but also over everyone but Anne Hathaway in 2013, makes...

I found a new site for Oscars =)

So this is not a database like this one here, where we can speak about our voting/ thoughts. This one is set up for just voting like we were members of the Academy. Some of the results are truly shocking, also I noticed everyone on this site has major hard-ons for Glenn Close ( for example, her Albe...

Re: Best Picture and Director 1992

I voted for " A Few Good Men" and Robert Altman I've never liked Howard's End nor Unforgiven so they wouldn't get my vote. I would actually substitute them for Indochine and Passion Fish I'm voting Robert Altman for the fact of this nomination would have been an "Overdue" win so ...
