Re: New Developments III

Considering that Sinema's favorables among Democrats were in the teens BEFORE pulling that stunt, I doubt that many of them will vote for her as an independent.

To be fair, DeSantis reminds me more of Scott Walker.

Re: New Developments III

Well, it finally happened. At least momentarily, the Arizona GOP became too crazy for Arizonans. I'm trying not to get too elated or hopeful. I'm reminding myself that this is probably the one time in my life where Fox news isn't totally lying to me. If Donald Trump didn't endorse so many unelectab...

Up until election day the Democrats hoped that Republicans wouldn't pick up more than 25-30 seats. The fact that there is still a chance to maintain their majority is nothing short of amazing.

Re: New Developments III

Congratulations to my fellow veterans, Mark Kelly and Az. Secretary-of-State Elect Adrian Fontes, on this Veterans Day. Losing the House, if that comes to be, will be horrific for the day-to-day crap we're going to have to endure for two more years, but losing the Senate would have meant a repeat o...

Re: New Developments III

The Republican show in Florida was put in place by DeSantis' skilled, albeit crooked, gerrymandering. Florida has a large population of grumpy old men and women from the Midwest and other states that moved there just so they wouldn't have to pay state taxes. As they die off, they are replaced by ev...

Re: New Developments III

What surprised me was how bad Democrats did in Florida compared to the rest of the country. They fielded their strongest candidates possible and yet they were routed by Rubio and DeSantis who aren't exactly widely beloved. It also seems that all the inroads Obama and Hillary made the past decade amo...

Is there a reason Mister Tee doesn't write anymore about politics?

Re: New Developments III

What's really amazing was that Bernie Sanders' institute had proudly awarded her with a fellowship for her "progressive" policies and repudiated her only today, after years of sucking up to Assad, Putin, and Trump.

Re: New Developments III

Do you think that a string of military wins by Ukraine will improve Democrats' chances in the midterm elections? I know that congressional Republicans have more or less supported Biden's pro-Ukraine policies but on the other hand Trump and his cultists have been very vocal about their support to his...

Re: New Developments III

Federal elections, not state elections. And Moore primarily deals with redistricting (although I suppose SCOTUS could change that if they went full whacko). And state legislators do not bear sole responsibility. There's still the federal government to answer to. Maybe. But this guy is freaked out. ...
