The one I absolutely agree on is Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. That movie has "dated" written all over it. The one I most disagree on is Giant.

IRON MAN Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard, Leslie Bibb, Shaun Taub, Clark Gregg, Jon Favreau. Dir: Jon Favreau. Although far from outstanding, this comic book entry is a pretty decent piece of popcorn entertainment and pretty much works primarily because of Ro...

THE SAVAGES Cast: Laura Linney, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Philip Bosco, Peter Friedman, Debra Monk, Margo Martindale. Dir: Tamara Jenkins. Although it is very well-acted, well-directed and well-written, there's nothing really extraordinary with Tamara Jenkins' latest effort. It tries hard to be both ...

Randy and Paula were obviously overcome by Archuleta's choice of song--originally sung by a woman--and Archuleta made it his own. I found it very moving, in spite of the ( as I said before) Alfred E. Neuman appearance. Simon criticized him, but that keeps David humble, IMO. You should listen to the...

The only reason I have for Brooke managing to escape the Bottom 2 is the fact that she's the chosen candidate of Vote For the Worst. Some people theorize that Carly's song choice pissed off a few people. But as far as I know, Jesus Christ Superstar is pretty much accepted and no longer controversia...

Happy Birthday! May your plate be piled high with adobo. Thanks. Oddly enough, that's what I had for lunch today. I'm sure it was chicken adobo. :p If anyone wants to buy me birthday gifts, I'd like the studio versions of my favorite American Idol performances but most unfortunately buying on iTune...

Happy Birthday! May your plate be piled high with adobo. Thanks. Oddly enough, that's what I had for lunch today. Apart from dinner with my mom, bro and future sister-in-law (not yet official but she's practically family already), it was a rather uneventful 28th birthday. I did get my unused 2007 v...

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN Cast: Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Kelly MacDonald, Garrett Dillahunt, Tess Harper. Dirs: Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. At long last! Although I prefer There Will Be Blood slightly, this is indeed one of the Coen Brothers' masterpieces and their best work in years...
