The writers' strike affected them more than I thought, considering that the strike ended before the ceremony.

But I was very glad to see that for once, the winners got to finish their acceptance speeches.

Looks like the most boring category was last. I don't mind the winner, though.

I've done these predictions since 1999, and this was the first time I got this category wrong. This was the last one, I have no longer any categories 100% correct.

Haven't seen any of these short films but in my oscar ballot, I picked it. I'm doing really good with this! (Hope I'm not talking too soon - so far I've only missed the visual effects category). Back in 2002, I was going 14/17 at one point, and it seemed like I was doing well - but out of the last ...

And this category is supposed to be difficult? This was the third time in a row I got it correct.

At MovieWes's competition, only 3 out of 32 predicted this one. Credits to Criddic, Hustler and Big Magilla.

Oscar morning for me. The show comes on at 9 am. Thank God the government declared tomorrow a non-working holiday (22nd anniversary of the EDSA revolution - Wikipedia it) so I don't have to miss work like I did last year. Very much a "night" for me, as the ceremony starts at 3 am in my ti...

Socialized health care Which brings up the question: why doesn't United States have a so-called universal health care system? Did Democrats just botch it themselves in the 60's when they introduced Medicare and whatever-that-one-was? Were these program introduced as a compromise, and if so, should ...
