Re: Everything Is Great and Amazing
I don't see any reason to suppose that Trump's support is significantly lower than it was in November. This is really the crux of the argument...and Magilla made a comment also about getting the little info they do have from Hannity and Newt screaming back and forth with the nasty Dr. Gorka about h...

Re: The Official Review Thread of 2017
Spoilers continue... Tee, a couple of things I think I disagree with regarding differences in perception (the brilliance of this medium...outside being told the facts by the artists): - I don't think we are given the answer to this until Williams screams to "Grandma" right near the end, bu...

Re: Cannes 2017
Probably going to be considered a "shocker" win scenario here, but without anything seemingly singling itself out...the guy who popularized himself and is basically most known for throwing a shitfit live on the internet after an Oscar snub should have been as easy a guess as any. Especiall...

Holy Chaffetz McCain!
Sadly...how much pressure will be enough pressure on Paul Ryan to draw up the papers knowing damn well he will also be bringing his own career to a grinding halt?

Re: Everything Is Great Again
RE: the midterms I'm less fearful about the Democrats' chances in 2018 than I was a few months ago. Outside of fuzzy math and circular logic histrionics...this is one of the main points I wanted to convey. Consistently dropping approval (now an unheard of 35%) rating , Obamacare failure or indiffer...

Re: Everything Is Great Again
Simply put, Republicans have more opportunities to flip seats than Democrats do. Ok so we're all in agreeance here...sadly They have a 52 - 48 seat majority. Hence the fact that they need a net gain of 6 plus the 2 independents in order to win back the majority. Are we really not all in agreeance t...

Re: Everything Is Great Again
I was going to make a similar comment...although I much prefer Criddic's 57-43 Dem lean result come November 2017. As I've stated before...2018 feels super grim for some get back results we need...but this sort of midterm also seems like the kind where Dems don't struggle to keep any in place seats....

Re: Everything Is Great Again
Similar to Magilla (or maybe, everyone) I like Maddow a good bit, but enjoy her in smallish doses. My realization halfway or less through the 60 minute program is my fire is being fueled...however, not a SOUL who favors Trump, votes for the 'R' on the ballot, likes Trump, loves Trump, tolerates Trum...

Re: The 18th Annual Who'll Be Back?
Ooooh baby...what a paradoxical offering...complain about a veer then this...bait much? Now I'm not sure if you meant in the moment or hindsight...but before we really get into this...I'll offer up...do we really think Julia was THAT much better than Paltrow? Especially considering Burstyn was right...

fellow sexual predator Just fucking wow...not sure I should even justify this with a response....but wow Washington, who was featured in the audience looking absolutely livid Yes he was...and I sure as hell bet it is because Denzel is constantly told in our country he is the best...he should win......

Re: 89th Oscars: General & Ceremony Discussion
In other words, once Casey Affleck actually won, I was totally content. Exactly this... It's strange that Beatty didn't dare to call it off. Dunaway, I'm sure, just read the film title off the card and never thought anything else. Credit to Jordan Horowitz who took control of the situation when no ...

Re: 89th Oscars: Best Picture
4 out of 5 Picture/Director split now...I'm sure it goes without saying...there has never been any kind of 80% streak before in history, correct? That was some crazy crazy shit...my brother texted me immediately and his main comment was how happily and proudly Warren threw Faye hard and intently und...
