Was there in interview where she said this ?

I agree with Jacki Weaver, and Robert Di Nero completely, but a straight ticket? eh

Re: The Complete List of Oscar Presenters

Hollywood hasn’t discarded Gabourey Sidibe. She could've disappeared after her nomination but has secured steady roles in several television series since she was recognized by the Academy. The Big C , American Horror Story: Coven , etc. Not hollywood, the academy, the academy seemed to discard thei...

Re: The Complete List of Oscar Presenters

One of the first question's I asked Janet was why she has disappeared from cinema over the years and mainly focus' on theatre.

Her response was - after a certain age you are sick of looking at yourself in such state on the big screen

So she's very good, keeping busy in London on the stage

Re: The Complete List of Oscar Presenters

Again, here we go on the belittling for my choices so let's see if explaining my choices will loosen the leash Janet Suzman is not dead, I actually spoke via email with Janet back in October, which if you'd like to read I can share if you'd like I think the absolute two hardest to find would be Cath...

Re: The Complete List of Oscar Presenters

I would love to know who picks the presenters. There are MANY forgotten oscar nominees/winners overdue for an Academy comeback in the form of presenting Lynn Carlin Catherine Burns Jane Alexander Ali MacGraw Linda Blair Ellen Burstyn Diana Ross Cicely Tyson James Caan Diahann Carroll Carol Kane Isab...

Re: Categories One-By-One: Supporting Actress

It is a weak year, and that is my opinion which I'm entitled to. I am a SAG voter, have been, and it's not anything I need to prove to you. Seriously, ever since I joined this site I am always belittled and told I am wrong for my opinions. What the fuck is wrong with my choices? Seriously, it's old...

I second the recommendation for Sandy Dennis in Another Woman . A simply brilliant cameo that I would've nominated that year in Best Supporting Actress. My turn.. Best Picture The Wolf of Wall Street- A 3 hour porn with a plot that makes Titanic seem like a 20 minute movie. They could have cut out an hour from this film and it would have been just as effective Her- Or as I like to call it "Joaquin Phoenix falls in love with his cell phone"...

My line-up for this year would have been Oprah Winfrey- The Butler Brie Larson- Short Term 12 Greta Gerwig- Frances Ha Vera Farmiga- The Conjuring Melissa McCarthy- The Heat Now with the actual line up My heart is to Judi Dench for Philomena, but I'm happy with any of them winning as long as it's n...

Re: Categories One-by-One: Supporting Actor

So this is another category along with Supporting Actress where it is truly a weak year. Jared Leto is the only one who deserves to be in this category and win Barkhad Abdi- Now, this is on par with Sally Hawkins' nomination, I cannot see what so ever what he did to garner a nomination, let alone wi...

Re: Interview with an Oscar voter

That doesn't shock me at all ( Jackman) I am a member of SAG, as well as a voter for the SAG awards and I get the screeners and I have access to go to the screenings at the Academy ( just I'm not an academy voter) and I can tell you a lot of what "Pat" is saying is true. Although other tha...
