Re: Categories One-by-One: Makeup and Hairstyling
The only question that I have is whether or not voters just hate Bradley Cooper and are truly put off by "Jewface" (hate that phrase). Or if they really thought his nose in the first part of the movie wasn't needed (it wasn't). But I think history strongly favors Maestro taking this one. ...

Re: Last Seen Movie - The Latest Movie You Have Seen; ratings
The Beekeeper (David Ayer, 2024) 7/10 Nobody comes close to being as kick-ass on screen than Jason Statham. Not even Bronson, Stallone or all those dweebs from the Marvel & DC Universe. When his old landlady (Phylicia Rashad) gets taken for a ride in a phishing scam and commits suicide, a beekee...

Re: BAFTA WINNERS
Oppenheimer had a big day -- feels like it must be the most BAFTAs any film's won in quite a while -- This made me curious. Oppenheimer won 7 Baftas out of 13 nominations. The film with the record win is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1970) - which won 9 awards from 10 nods. It won for Best Fi...

Re: Last Seen Movie - The Latest Movie You Have Seen; ratings
Silent Night (John Woo, 2023) 2/10 A major misfire by John Woo. We really did not need yet another vigilante revenge thriller just to see Woo choreograph different ways to attack, kill and die. Over the past decades we have seen enough of such carnage from the likes of Charles Bronson and Sylvester ...

Re: Categories One-by-One: Best Actress
If Stone wins both BAFTA and SAG, she will be the presumptive Oscar winner, which would make a win by either Gladstone or Hüller a bit of a surprise but not a shock as it would if Bening or Mulligan were to win. I am so looking forward to a shock this year. Time we had one....but strictly of the Be...

Re: DGA Nominees & Winner
No one commented because frankly its been very exhausting wading through the endless series of awards. After a while they all began to blur and going down each of the winner or nominee lists became quite a chore.
I've never felt like this before. There are now just too many awards.
