Great speeches by both Clinton and Kerry, a powerful one by Beau Biden and a very good salt-of-the-earth one by Joe Biden with a nice appearance by Barack. Hopefully tonight will be even better.

A bit of trivia - this is the second year in a row in this game in which both Philip Kaufman and David Cronenebrg have been given best director nominations denied them by the Academy. It is also the second time that Croneneberg has replaced Mike Nichols.

I didn't catch too much of Schweitzer's speech. What little I saw seemed to be in the style of an evangelical minister.

I liked Hillary's "get over it" speech, but the best of the evening I thought was Mark Warner's keynote address.
