I think The Departed is one of the most overhyped films of the year. Everyone is pushing it as the second coming of Scorsese and it's actually quite run of the mill.

It would be a nice return to the 1990s' ability to pick one of the, if not, the best film as its winner. This seems to have faltered recently, but The Queen would at least be a step in the right direction.
