Best description of The English Patient I’ve ever read.

I think it’s a toss up between Yeoh and Blanchett. One of the closest best actress races I can recall. In the end I think Blanchett will prevail based on the international base of the academy. On a side note, do you really think Riseborough’s career benefited from her nomination? I tend to disagree....

Also think that Nighy is highly deserving of his nomination.

I also really liked the musical score. I would have nominated it myself.

First time since BAFTA moved to February that none of it's acting winners matched SAG winners.

1 to 5 are films I really liked. Top Gun was entertaining. Still need to see Avatar though.

If Blanchett and Condon carry over to the oscars the internet will literally melt down… and I’m all in for it.
