I find nothing wrong with either film. The problems with Dreamgirls that I've mentioned are related to the source material, not Condon's direction. I have never read anything by Damien suggesting that he believes any of Condon's films or screenplays are flawless or absoulte masterpieces. He likes them very much and many film buffs and critics agree with him. And some admirers of Condon's work to date probably could not pick him out in a lineup...

I, however, trust Damien thinks Dreamgirls is as great as I think it is not. Sure, sure, this is what you were supposed to say, now you can relax. Anyway, as I've said in other thread, it's not because of friendship. Something which I don't want to explain here, but I don't think it's friendship.
