Man, I think the part even worse than the sadness of Dreamgirls not being nominated is the gloom that Italiano can gloat about this for months to come:)

CNN.com is reporting Dreamgirls is leading the pack of nominations with eight...when was the last time that happened? They Shoot Horses Don't They?

Shocked by no Dreamgirls, no Bill Condon, no Volver...I would like to say I called the Jack Nicholson snub though:) Always nice when your no guts, no glory pick comes out alright!

I think Matt Damon is heads and shoulders the best thing about The Departed. He finds shades of nuance in his anguish that the others just don't mine. Mark Wahlberg and Alec Baldwin are second and third in my opinion.

BJ, I just did the same thing, and there are a couple missing from your lists. The Goodbye Girl was also taken off the ballot, and The Great Dictator, The Great Escape and The Usual Suspects were all added.
