I agree that it's one of the strongest line-ups in years and I also agree that a big factor to come into play will ultimately be how much BS & Kids are liked . Annette's getting a lot of last-minute love in the community and her film most likely would have made the final cut over the more stran...

The support for 'Kids' is strong. If Bening gets the SAG again, she'll have 2 trophies and 2 Globes to her name. Win or lose there, I still think Bening's gonna take Oscar in the end. In fact, both Natalie and Halie might fall by the wayside.

Oscarguy, I just watched Rabbit Hole last night and I don't think Bening was anymore unsympathetic than Kidman's cold and detached performance. The last few dialogue-less minutes of the latter were indeed heartwrenching, but I don't see Oscar voters going for it. I do, however, agree that Black Swa...

I was so glad the impressive Mila got an Emily Blunt type surprise supporting nod. I hope she makes it in this crowded field where this is the one strange year we don't have a freakin' frontrunner. Someone suggested that Mark Ruffalo might experience a grand Dennis Quaid snub for BSA, but I think t...

Hi guys. Just watched Black Swan today and the weird concoction of Showgirls meets Suspiria is one I never would have imagined spawning a serious Best Actress contender, but it did in Natalie. The last act where she gives the performance of her life will give Bening a run for her money. With that s...

Mo checked meddling journalists, Tom included, backstage yet again when she proclaimed she was proud to be a part of an Academy who said it didn't matter how many dinners she attended or pictures she took--her work was on the screen. She also said she wore Royal Blue and a Gardenia in her hair beca...

I sensed that, too and did Kathryn thank James? I missed it if she did.

This was posted by Randomdude over at Goldderby;- "Congrats-in-advance to future Best Actress winners Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, and Rumer Willis." He left out Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag and Snookie from Jersey Shore! Sorry guys - LOVE Sandra Bullock but she joins an illustr...

I don't think this will be the last we see of Sandra. Infamous is an example that she does take her work seriously, which suggests that she may very well be back. This might also encourage her to take on more strong roles just to prove her critics wrong. I don't think it will be the last either. Sh...
