Watching the film years later, there’s nothing mysterious or enticing about Moore. She’s a blank slate. She doesn’t have anything that would haunt this complicated man’s mind like Kristen Scott Thomas in The English Patient. On paper, she seems like a good choice but I think she holds the film back...
