From what I can gather, the source material for Notorious went uncredited at the time, though is now acknowledged. Criterion's DVD offers excerpts from the short story the script was based on as an extra feature.

Damien, wonderful list (and thank you for reminding me of My Darling Clementine!), but both Notorious and It's A Wonderful Life are adapted screenplays, the former based on John T. Foote's "The Song Of The Dragon" and the latter on Phillip Van Doren Stern's "The Greatest Gift."
