Great lineup for a great year, though the two best actresses of the year was unfairly snubbed

Julianne Moore in Safe and Nicole Kidman in To Die For.

The best of the bunch is Elisabeth Shue.

A very great year for actresses, sadly it didn't reflect in the lineup. Foster is the winner for me, but still she wouldn't even make my top 10 of the year. Sarandon and Richardson is Decent Lange is Average Ryder is just awful, lucky for her she had Reality Bites that year to compenstate My top 10...

But there's only one winner this year and that's Holly Hunter, who's one of the best best actress winner ever with this performance. My Ballot: Bassett - What's Love Got To...

Kaminska merely the most legendary Grand Dame of the Yidish theatre. Also in 1966 (maybe unrelevant) the Best Actress category had no american-born actress (Though Taylor is born of American parents) in it and two of these performances were foreign-language if only the AMPAS could be this "dar...

Two Words: Totally Ridicilous It may be only because of my Vivien Leigh and Gone With the Wind fandom but isn't quite a glaring omission to not include her for either this or A Streetcar Named Desire? and what for Clark Gable in Gone With the wind he's not there either? A Shame also that only two w...

There's only one winner for me in this category and that is Emma Thompson in her best performance ever. Runner Up is Pfeiffer who does a good performance but still she does her second-worst performance she did in her peak years 88-93, that said it wasn't a bad performance but she was better in anot...
